How to Make a Happy Little Bumblebee

If you are also a fan of bumblebees, you can learn how to crochet a Bumblebee using my video tutorial above! All the things you need for this project below.

I have an obsession with all things bumblebees.  I am not sure how it started but they fascinate me. Perhaps it is my love of honey (yum!), or my love of dogs dressed up in bumblebee outfits!  Because of this I knew I wanted to design a Bumblebee pattern.

There is something cheerful about a plump amigurumi bumblebee.  What is amazing about Bumblebees is their wings move faster than we can detect, research suggests they beat their wings 200 times each second! It’s their wingbeat that helps create the buzzing noise we can hear.

To make your crochet Bumblebee:

  • DK Size Yarn
    • Yellow Yarn
    • Black Yarn
    • White Yarn
    • A little bit of Pink Yarn for his rosy cheeks (optional)
  • Crochet Hook – I am using my 2.5mm Clover Amour Hook *
  • Toy Stuffing
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch Markers
  • Pins
  • Pair of scissors
  • Safety Eyes

Happy crocheting!I hope you love this pattern as much as I do and remember to share photos of your finished projects online.
